New Year's Hope
That Winter told me a story Of a girl who was always in a hurry. Who was always accustomed to it, And never thought to turn over it. The days passed as a second And now she sits alone, Waiting for getting a second Of seeing that winter gone. Other winter is coming again, To treat her heart full of pain, But she is convinced it won't avert What is inside of her gelid heart. The winter came, brought Christmas And a fire of new year's lights, And a miracles hidden in glass Of a playthings coloured light. But hey, they came not alone, A present for those who feels alone, A faith hidden in decorations, And a hope in tiny snowflakes. Is your heart icy now, dear? Or do you believe in now, here? If yes then wait for a miracle, Wait for the New Year's tale.
